Background 

The wool of the Russian Romanov sheep is characterized by a unique blend of very black, straight outer hairs and ultra-soft undercoat. The sheep is bred to survive in harsh winter conditions, and this is evident in its wool. The combination with the wool of a unique gray-hued Drenthe heath sheep is truly remarkable.
